Shony picked up the guitar at the age of ten and never stopped playing since. At the age of 26 Shony moved to England and a few years later, on to Canada where he made his home on the West Coast. Shony’s musical career of over 30 years includes live performance, radio, TV, studio work, composition, songwriting and album production.

Away from the spotlight and stage glamour, Shony remains the delicate, deep and emotional songwriter he was since he first picked up the guitar. Shony's songwriting and delivery style are shamelessly naked, penetrating and evocative drawing heavily from his fascinating life journey.

Coming from the generation of Bob Dylan and Van Morrison, Shony brings to his music maturity that encompasses the roots of Rock and alternative songwriting with many flavors and shades. Yet musical influences never undermine Shony's original creativity, rather Shony draws from the pool of various styles to package his own creative musical ideas by gathering original mixes of world fusion, ethnic rock, blues & jazz and throwing it all onto his personal canvas to create unique musical pictures with striking colors.
